Description:
In the year 1938, when Jaska Repo was digging a ditch, a strange-looking tree stub emerged, attracting his attention.
It was approximately 154 cm long and some 15 cm wide, resembling the nose of a ski. By using a radiocarbon method the ski was dated to 3245 BC so the ski is more than 5000 years old and is the oldest found ski in the world. Ski is being kept at the National Museum of Finland.
